                               Installing
                            Demo Version of the
                    Indian Language Keyboard Program

This file contains details on program installation on a x86 machine
running Microsoft Windows 3.1 or Windows 95.

A) MS-Windows 3.1 or above, 80x86 machines, with atleast 4M of memory.
   8M or more required for Windows 95.
   This version runs in the background and you can use it with any
   off-the-shelf word processor such as Word or WordPerfect.

   To install:

Make a new directory, let's call it ILDEMO:
1) mkdir \ildemo
2) cd \ildemo

Then, use UNZIP or PKUNZIP to extract the required files:
3) unzip ilkbdmXX.zip

Start Windows, and create a New Program Item:
4) Select New from the File menu of the Program Manager, click on
   Program Item, and add any program description you wish, and give the
   path name of the executable:
        c:\ildemo\ilkbdemo.exe

5) Install the Demo Devanagari True Type font. See your MS-Windows
   manual for details on installing fonts.
   The Demo Font is in the file name "MANTRA__.TTF".

6) You can now run the ILKBDEMO program. See the Help command in the
   program for a Tutorial on using the program.
   You can use this program with almost any word-processing package, it
   has been tested with Word 6.0, and with WordPerfect 5.1.
